Hi.  My name is Dian Lezotte and I serve as the Personnel Lieutenant for the Hopewell Emergency Crew.  We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our organization.  We have several membership options available to you and the rewards of your hard work are plentiful. We understand that  everyone has busy lives, that's why we offer flexible scheduling and other options to help you help others. If you are up for the challenge, then we want to talk to you. You have nothing to lose except the regret of not giving it a try.  For more information or for an application, please feel free to contact me.

We are a progressive organization of volunteers, coming from all walks of life, working together to accomplish a common goal.  We are living our dreams and changing our lives and the lives those we serve.  We are in search of dedicated volunteers to help us continue our mission.  No prior experience is necessary as we will provide all needed training to get you certified and you can become a member starting at age 16.  As a new member, you will begin to learn from day one.  We have several membership classifications available to be placed into.  They are described in detail below.

  • Senior Crew- Members of the Senior Crew are age 18 and older.  They staff ambulances, attend crew meetings and training drills, and participate in internal as well as public events.  Members in this classification are required to obtain and maintain certifications as well as fulfill an hourly commitment.  All Senior members will obtain full membership rights and benefits and have the opportunity of serving on committees and holding leadership roles within the crew upon satisfactory completion of other requirements.
  • Junior Crew- Members of the Junior Crew are of the minimum age of 16.  They staff ambulances, attend crew meetings and training drills, and participate in internal as well as public events.  Junior members may also host their own meetings and drills in which are separate from the Senior Crew.  Members in this classification are required to obtain and maintain certifications as well as fulfill an hourly commitment.  They also participate in our Junior-Senior Trainee Program preparing them for acceptance into the Senior Crew.  Junior members have the opportunity to serve on committees and obtain certain membership rights and benefits upon satisfactory completion of other requirements.
  • Support Crew- Members of this crew are age 18 and older.  The Support Crew is for those individuals that have a desire to serve but not staff ambulances or obtain certifications in the field of EMS.  Members in this classification fulfill specific duties as prescribed by our crew Constitution and By-Laws and are required to fulfill an hourly commitment.  The Support Crew host their own meetings and drills separate from the Senior and/or Junior crews and may also be required to attend some meetings and drills of either of the two other active crews.  Members of this crew may also act as back up drivers and/or scene rehabilitation for the active crews performing scene operations.

As you can see, we have something for just about everyone.  Whether it is the Senior, Junior, or Support crew, you can be sure that you will become a part of the same family that we all are.  If you are ready for the challenge or would like more information, please contact us today.  You can also participate in our Ride-A-Long program.  Details are outlined below.

 Ride-A-Long Program
Are you interested but unsure if this is for you?  Why not participate in our Ride-A-Long program.  As an EMS observer, you will be placed on a fully staffed ambulance and respond to calls with the on duty crew.  You will only observe the crew in action and will not be required to participate in any part of patient care.  This program is perfect for those who are interested in membership but not quite sure if they will be able to handle the duties required as a prehospital provider.  If you would like to set up a ride-a-long, please complete the short form below.  A representative will contact you to continue with the scheduling of your ride.
