Employment Opportunities

The Hopewell Emergency Crew, Inc. is currently accepting applications for current and future part time field operations openings.  Candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications for employment with Hopewell EMS.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Minimum 2 years ALS experience, 1 year for BLS
  • Possess Virginia EMT-B, E, I, P certification
  • Possess acceptable DMV driving record
  • Possess Health Care Provider level CPR certification
  • Submit to & pass background investigation
In addition to the above minimum qualifications, candidates must also possess and submit proof of the following certifications with application for employment.
 
Basic Life Support Providers (EMT-Enhanced also):
  • EVOC Class II or better
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700 (or complete within 90 days of employment)
Advanced Life Support Providers:
  • EVOC Class II or better
  • NIMS 100, 200, 700 (or complete within 90 days of employment)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (ITLS will also be accepted)
  • National Registry Certification (Paramedics Required)
